I believe in teaching horsemanship as well as equitation/riding skills. Riders are instructed in grooming and tacking up as well as cooling out and putting away their horse as part of each lesson. These skills are vital to becoming a true horseman.
Safety is paramount to learning. All riders must wear ASTM-SEI approved riding helmets. We provide loaner helmets for riders who are new to riding until they are ready to invest in a helmet of their own. There are no exceptions to the helmet requirement and bicycle helmets are not suitable to the risk associated with equestrian sports.
